Liverpool is buzzing with excitement as we prepare to welcome a very special visitor: the magnificent Queen Mary 2. The Cunard ocean liner is set to grace our iconic waterfront with her presence on Wednesday, September 17th, and Thursday, September 18th.
To celebrate the arrival of Cunard's "spiritual home," we're delighted to announce a new series of walking tours designed specifically for passengers arriving in the afternoon. Our regular tours often run during the day, but we know many of you will be disembarking later and want to make the most of your time in our vibrant city.
That's why we've added a special 17:30 (5:30 PM) walking tour on both September 17th and 18th.
This tour is the perfect way to stretch your sea legs and discover the heart of Liverpool's rich maritime and cultural history as the city lights begin to twinkle. Our expert local guides will take you on a journey past some of our most famous landmarks, including the very buildings that tell the story of Cunard's deep connection to this city.
On this unique afternoon tour, you will:
Wander past the stunning Three Graces – the Royal Liver Building, the Port of Liverpool Building, and, of course, the grand Cunard Building itself.
Get a taste of our vibrant nightlife as we make our way towards the legendary Cavern Club, where the Beatles played nearly 300 gigs.
Soak in the history of the Royal Albert Dock, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to world-class museums and restaurants.
The tour is approximately 90 minutes long, giving you plenty of time to explore, take photos, and still get back to the ship for dinner and evening entertainment. It's the ideal way to get your bearings and experience the very best of Liverpool's city center in one unforgettable evening.
Space is limited, so we highly recommend booking your spot in advance. Join us and discover why Liverpool is known as the "spiritual home" of Cunard. We can't wait to show you around!
Book your 17:30 tour now on our website or FreeTour.com
See you at the waterfront!
